FBI Assistant Director to Ring Opening Bell at NYSE Friday to Mark Bureau's 100th Anniversary Mark J. Mershon, Assistant Director-in-Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in New York, will ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange Friday morning, July 25, 2008, to mark the 100th anniversary of the FBI. Accompanying Mr. Mershon will be Special Agents in Charge of various divisions within the New York FBI Office. FBI Headquarters and each of the 56 field offices around the country have been observing the 100th anniversary with public events and internal office functions. In addition, the FBI has assisted various local, national and international media organizations in putting together documentary programs and news segments connected to the Bureau’s 100 years of fighting crime and combating espionage and terrorism. ###
