United States Attorney Glenn T. Suddaby announced today that a Syracuse man has pled guilty to robbery of a credit union. Kevin James Green, 46, appeared today before United States District Court Judge David N. Hurd and admitted that he robbed the ACMG Federal Credit Union, 1753 Milton Avenue, Solvay, NY on March 22, 2007. Green admitted that he prepared a robbery note and handed it to a teller at the credit union. Green then grabbed approximately $850 from the teller’s opened cash drawer and fled the scene. Green was arrested the following day and he has been incarcerated since that time. United States District Court Judge David N. Hurd scheduled sentencing for April 11, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Utica. Green faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department, and the Syracuse Police Department.
