PENNSYLVANIA MAN ARRESTED FOR DISTRIBUTING
CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OVER THE INTERNET
MICHAEL J. GARCIA, the United States Attorney for the
Southern District of New York, MARK J. MERSHON, Assistant
Director-in-Charge of the New York Office of the Federal Bureau
of Investigation ("FBI"), and RAYMOND W. KELLY, the Police
Commissioner of the City of New York, announced today that JORDAN
DESENBERG was arrested and charged with distributing child
pornography over the internet. According to the Complaint filed
in Manhattan federal court:
DESENBERG, who lives in Pennsylvania, began emailing anundercover detective of the New York City Police Department whowas posing as a mother of two girls, ages 9 and 12. Throughemails and an internet "chat," DESENBERG discussed having sexwith the undercover's two children. DESENBERG also sent theundercover detective approximately 21 images of child pornographydepicting explicit sexual acts between minors and adults.
Mr. GARCIA praised the investigative work of the New
York Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Mr. GARCIA also thanked the Bronx District Attorney’s Office for
bringing this matter to the attention of this Office.
Assistant United States Attorney PARVIN MOYNE is in
charge of the prosecution.
The charges and allegations contained in the Complaint
are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent
unless and until proven guilty.
